I like the changes. Although I didn't see any of the promised AI improvements and very little bar improvement in HM, it still makes PvE somewhat fun.

HM has actually resulted in lowering prices in the economy, so loot scaling and HM aren't all that bad. I'm still waiting for HA changes and some skill balances though... game's a bit boring.

I am waiting for a game online that really cares about what players want and knows how to keep them in the game satisfying them. Tittles and miniatures are not gonna keep people playing untill GW2
Do you know how is GW now? UNINSTALLED

Probably a 3 at this point in my GW career. Very boring PvE endgame.

chances are that if the game was exactly the same as it was 2 years ago then u would have made a post about how bland the game has gotten because they dont update anything at all....

no offence, but i found it extremely funny when everybody was crying about how useless their necros were because of a horrid...5 second wait for soul reaping.

so if u dont like the changes so much that u are willing to quit the game... then stop playing the game.

Since Hard Mode's release, I've gone up 300k. However, I am also playing a lot more to keep up in the title grind (sunspear, lightbringer, guardian, etc). I want to be out of People Know Me before Kind Of A Big Deal becomes commonplace.

Every action I have taken since Hard Mode's release has been to prepare for GW:EN.

I guess I've got mixed feelings.

3.

I just got my second birthday present in GW, and the game has improved constantly since release. The loot scaling is nothing - I never really played for the loot or gold - and besides, I'm getting more golds now than I did before. The droprate in hard mode is insane.

I had wealth, fame, and a life.

Now, I'm broke, infamous, and if I wanna make cash, I gotta give up my life because I have to farm 24 hours a day for 10K

Where is the Guild Wars of the past, where we could farm griffons, chestrun, do Sorrow's Furnace, ALL the professions were actually good, we could use any build to fight, we went to look for a party instead of dumb heroes and the monsters/henchmen fought instead of running around?

'Don't fix what isn't broke' eh?

And despite all the measures, bots are still alive and kicking in the game, and can now sell gold for even more rl cash!

i like some of the changes, but they still need work. lots of work. i like that they curbed solo-farming, just wish they could have done it two years ago so that people wouldn't have the unfair advantage of having already farmed billions of gold over newer players...

I do believe that there should be an OPTIONAL system of paying for enhancements to keep the flow of good content, but IMO being asked to pay COMPULSORY monthly fees when you already paid for a game is ABUSIVE! I'm rooting for GW2 to be just what it takes to shake for good the established business model...

And users should have more respect to other players with different choices AND Forum RULES!

On other better subjects... 'unmatchedfury' did an interesting correction on a previous comment of mine. But it comes to my mind hero battles and the upcoming automated tournaments for PvP players... I taken that in your opinion it isn't what Anet should be doing...

I'd go with 3.
never really farmed much, and couldn't care less about bots and whatnot

Altho i do agree the status of gw now is FAR from that of which of when it was just released, but ive always thought that was because its normal for a game to become less interesting over time...

I was away on vacation when hard mode came out and just got back a few days ago to try it out. I have to say I am mixed between #1 and #2.

I love the lock picks, better loot in hard mode, the new items like tomes, 2nd birthday presents, and the new titles.

The bad news is the utter crap that is hard mode. People posted for weeks about how much they didn't want hard mode to be a repeat of the tactics that anet used in making DoA. But once again they refused to listen and they did just that. Increasing the numbers and giving special advantages outside the normal rules does not increase strategy or make an area compelling. It just makes it a dull grind. I fail to understand why anet can't create foes with full skill bars and secondaries. Our heroes use a full skill bar quite well.

I will continue to play GW for now while waiting for more details about GW2. If the strategy level of both the PVE and PVP in GW2 is as deep as a kiddie pool with a hole in the bottom (which is what it is currently like in GW now), then I will thank Anet for the good times I did have with GW and move on to games that are more suited to my tastes.

Guild wars is great for a lot of us.

Spread the happiness.

As I said in the beginning of the opening speech. Embrace the change. Don't fear it, make it.

i like that they curbed solo-farming,

O'rly, well my 55 is rocking in HM have made 200k in one week
But apart from the fact i can 55 again the changes to the game recently are bordering on lunacy, the freedom we once had is not there anymore due to silly restrictions, so a 2 for me.
If the recent updates /nerfs, balances call em what you like are an indicator of the way things are to be done in future releases then i will not be buying GWEN or GW2, draconian sweeping changes with no thought or reflection on balance whatsoever.

3 for me. Much as Trakata and Zorglubb said before. I've been away now since February with a desire to play but no real motivation to do so.

I dont mind the HM and loot scaling so much since for me the larger problem inherent in PvE is simply titles are not enough to keep me going. That's really what it comes down to. At a certain point even goals to farm for started to dwindle a bit. I cant comment on the SR changes as I havent tested that, but I dont like what I hear. The continued nerfings are indeed annoying, but if there was more incentive for me to play I would still be playing regularly despite them.

I am unlikely to get EN simply because I dont know what I would do with it outside of explore new areas, much as I admit that is fun for a little while. I'm hanging around the sidelines to see what comes of EN and also to see if interest will be rekindled in GW2.
